Fashion 103 Chapter One; Review Questions 1. On what kinds of physical evidence do scholars base their knowledge of textiles and clothing items that were used in prehistoric periods? From written text, imprints, sculptures, bone structures, and art.

8. Describe the kinds of sources that could be used by a person researching the dress worn by people of a historic period of the past. What are the obstacles the researcher might have to face? Paintings, sculptures, text, and photographs. The problem with this is that sometimes things are not dated properly, or are assumptions of how they think that era dressed.
