Description

Campus Resource Report College & Career Success Points Possible: 10 There are a variety of resources available on-campus to assist you throughout your college career. A list of resources are provided below, but you can also pick one that we have left off the list. Write a follow-up to the questions below and submit on Blackboard. To learn more about the campus resource, you may choose to visit the office, interview a staff member about the services offered in their office, talk to someone who has utilized the resource or review their webpage. (NOTE: You may need to complete more than one of these tasks to learn about the resource.)

Your report should address the following questions: 1. What resource were you assigned? I chose on-campus housing for my campus resource. 2. What services do they offer? They offer a place for students to live on campus so they don’t have to commute. They also offer different learning communities such as TLC and Honors Living. 3. Are students required to schedule an appointment or do they offer walk-in services? If they want to talk to the head of their housing, they need to make an appointment, but if it’s an emergency, they can go knock on their RA’s door door or call or text them at any time. 4. Who is eligible to utilize this resource? Any student enrolled in UNO can live in the dorms if they choose so. 5. How could this resource benefit you and your classmates? This resource benefits me, because I’m not from Omaha and would have to drive here everyday. Living here has also helped me make friends I’m not sure I would have made otherwise. 6. Who did you talk to in the office? I talked to my RA. 7. What information can UNO students learn from their website? From the UNO Housing Website, students can learn about the different types of dorms, and can take virtual tours and such to see them.
