Casa Real is the one of historical place here in Bulacan which is located at Paseo del Congreso, Plaza Rizal, Malolos,Bulacan . Before, this was built to be a school for women but today, this is now a historical Museum where historical things can be found. On display are exhibits of Filipina women's accomplishments "Filipina Firsts" and "Eminent Bulakeñas.” First class families of Malolos, their furniture, old books, stamps, paper money and coin are also displayed in the Shrine. The Casa Real of Malolos served different purposes and carried different names during the Spanish and American Periods. Built in 1580, it originally served as the seat of government of the town. It also became the town’s Casa Tribunal, Ayuntamiento, and Casa Presidencia Municipal. It served as the office of the Treasury and the office of the town’s gobernadorcillo during the Spanish period. This historical place is one of Bulacan's prides. It is also one of Malolos oldest structure. The building had witnessed the war between Filipinos and the Spaniards in 1896, and in 1898-1899 the patriotic struggle of Filipinos that were documented through La Independencia and La Revolucion that were printed by the National Printing Press that was maintained inside the building through a decree that was issued by the Congress of Malolos. A part of this building was also used as office of the National Treasury. In 1965, the building was demolished to give way to a commercial project that was built in the same place. However, the significance of this building as part of the golden history of Malolos was maintained when President Diosdado Macapagal. It is a shrine devoted to the 20 women of Malolos who lobbied to initiate the first adult school for women in 1889, regardless of much resistance from the Spanish friars and even the governor-general of the Philippines. Throughout the duration of the First Philippine Republic, this shrine served as the National Printing Press and the National Museum. A printing press during the Malolos Republic, the Casa Real was restored in 1852 and converted into a municipal library. It is now a museum under the management of the National Historical Institute and serves as the final repository of still existing memorabilia., then was restored in 1852 and converted into a municipal library. This shrine also became the seat of the American military government, then turned into a hospital in 1923, an annex to the Bulacan High School in 1941 and was the Japanese Chamber of Commerce headquarters during the Japanese Occupation. It is now a museum under the management of the National Historical Institute and serves as the final repository of still existing memorabilia. This structure played a gigantic role in Philippine Republic. This historical place makes a big contribution to the Philippine Historical system where it helps to identify and helps to understand some of the artifacts that was left by our ancestors. One of the permanent exhibits of Casa Real Shrine are relics of the Brave Women of Malolos of whom Rizal wrote a poem to honor their courage of setting up a school against objections from the town’s friars. And as we can tell as of now it still in place, they really preserved the presence and its historical background as we go in a modern time. This preserved historical shrine is 30 minutes ride from Bulacan Capitol, you can also take a jeepney ride if you wanted to really enjoy the experience not because it much cheaper but also you can socialize and talks some locals in there and few meters away from Barasoain Church, Malolos City Hall and the Basilica Minore de Immaculada Conception. – Christian Rey Angeles...
