Jamba Juice Abstract Jamba Juice was created in April 1990 to position its goods as a healthier alternative to fast food and beverages. The firm is dedicated to providing light meals, fresh juices, and smoothies of the highest quality. Jamba Juice aims to promote wellness via an active and healthy lifestyle. Second, it analyzes external and internal dynamics to determine Jamba's Juice business plan. Thirdly, it performs a financial study of the firm to have a better understanding of its financial health. Finally, it suggests recommendations and solutions via a newly created market channel. Introduction Kirk Perron established Jamba Juice in 1990, and the company has grown significantly since then. Initially known as Juice Club, the firm specialized in healthy juices and smoothies. To preserve quality and operational control, the firm began with a franchise model. In 1995, when competition intensified, "Juice Club" changed its brand to Jamba Juice to gain a competitive edge against comparable healthy juice and smoothie businesses. Jamba Juice merged with Zuka in 1999, acquiring 98 retail locations on the West Coast of the United States. By 2006, after being acquired by Services Acquisition Corp International, Jamba Juice had chosen to go public. Through this transaction, Jamba Juice's leadership changed significantly, with James D. White appointed as the company's new CEO and president. Jamba Juice was a firm believer in living a healthy lifestyle. They focused on delivering nutritious breakfasts, snacks, lunches, and dinners. Children's meals, juices, smoothies, energy bowls, yogurt, baked goods, wraps, sandwiches, and hot oatmeal were all on the menu. The company's commitment to high-quality, nutrient-dense ingredients enabled it to establish itself as a global leader in fresh-squeezed juice. 3

Jamba Juice Problem Identification and Goals The company faced a few financial issues as a result of its aggressive growth and expansion strategies, A major financial downfall was experienced after which the CEO devised new market strategies aimed at revitalizing the business and accelerating long-term development. White's tactics bolstered the brand's value in the market for healthy foods and beverages. Several of the tactics included a retail presence, international development, and menu expansion to ensure consistent sales throughout the year. Jamba's growth plan featured both traditional and atypical locations, as well as franchise expansion. These were the primary areas of emphasis for the company's expansion. As Jamba grew in popularity, so did its rivals. Therefore, the company faced another challenge of maintaining its competitive position in the industry and capture a larger market share. When Jamba began offering a more diverse menu, it began to compete with traditional quick-service restaurants such as McDonald's, Burger King, and Starbucks. White led the firm via ambitious expansion methods that resulted in partial success and revenue growth. The company's primary objective was rapid expansion, and the first goal was to promote a healthy lifestyle and establish a healthy image by putting healthy items on the market. Jamba Juice likewise had financial difficulties, prompting the establishment of new goals for the company's continued growth. The key objectives set by the company to tackle its financial issues and address competitive challenges are as follows:  To increase its stock by enhancing the effectiveness of its items.  By structuring the proficiency via the provision of breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and supper.  Accelerating the company's growth through franchises and traditional brick-and-mortar locations. 4

Jamba Juice  The company's primary objective will be to reduce costs and expenditures via the use of an effective approach.  Establishing and sustaining healthy customer relationships, as well as developing a platform for customer supply management development. According to the company's management, passion is confidence in development, and Jamba juice's marketing strategies revolve around energy and enthusiasm. Jamba Juice's primary focus should be on strategic leadership and management to achieve its objectives. Strategic leadership evaluates the company's condition, its current position, and its future trajectory, as well as the most effective tactics for achieving the goals. The brand name is also critical to the success of a firm, and Jamba Juice is reaping the benefits of its brand name. Within a short amount of time, Jamba Juice established itself as the market's most powerful brand name in comparison to its competitors. One of the primary strengths of Jimba Juice is the breadth of goods supplied in the market, as well as the rapid growth of the business's product range throughout time. Along with product development and expansion, Jamba Juice is investing heavily in the expansion of its retail locations across the world. Jamba Juice and its growing line have also come under fire for providing certain low-quality smoothies on the market, which contradicts their healthy food philosophy. Along with numerous potential for development, Jamba Juice faces significant risk from competitors willing to put the firm through its paces. The overall environment is split into six parts, which are as follows: Economic The economic variables that influence Jamba Juice have a significant impact on the company. Increases or decreases in disposable income may affect high-end items. Consumers would appear to gravitate toward less expensive options such as McDonald's during a recession. Technology Technological innovation may have a wide variety of effects. For instance, it affects the speed with which services are supplied dependent on the store's equipment. It affects the systems used to process orders and restock inventory in stores. In general, technology may have a significant influence on a business's operations and level of service. Legal/Political The United States Department of Agriculture regulates which products Jamba Juice may market as organic and non-GMO. The label of such components also affects the pricing of the product. As a result of these laws, Jamba Juice must adhere to the requirements of many nations

6

Jamba Juice when it comes to non-GMO and organic goods. Additionally, the Jamba Juice franchise concept may be subject to additional requirements depending on their region and state legislation. Social In today's fast-paced world, the demand for "fast food" has shifted. Consumers' interest in healthful grab-and-go meals is growing. A campaign is underway to promote low-calorie products, fresh vegetables, and healthful meals. Increased access to knowledge resulted in healthier dietary selections. A growing number of customers are aware that their lifestyle choices are important. Target Market Analysis The main target market in Jamba Juice is medium to high class, ready to pay a price premium for good quality; Seasonality has a part to play in northern areas owing to weather changes. With the extension of the menu, including hot beverages and meals, purchases in northern and southern countries might have potential all year round. Porter’s Five Forces Analysis Porter's five forces model is another important tool for comprehending environmental factors. Organizations evaluate competitive rivalry, supplier power, buyer power, the threat of substitution, and the threat of new entrance using this model (de Swaan Arons & Waalewijn, 1999). Each of these variables influences the firm's profitability, as well as its areas of opportunity and weakness. Figure 1 illustrates Porter's five-force model for Jamba Juice.

Jamba Juice Therefore, it is mandatory to introduce customized products instead of standardized ones. 2. The company's rivals such as McDonald's and Starbucks have customized their product offerings according to the market they serve which has helped them to position themselves as market leaders. Therefore, Jamba Juice must expand its product range and bring customization to build a competitive advantage against rivals. in this sector by introducing some nutritious beverages. According to these figures, the company's overall health is not excellent, and it has been in a tough financial condition for the last three years. To begin, the firm lost almost $3 million in 2014 due to excessive operational costs. Profits exceeded $9 million in 2015, and operating costs were lowered in half compared to prior years. In 2016, overall costs and operational expenses increased significantly, while net income was little more than 2 million. The firm has generated money over the last two years but operates at a high cost. Additionally, Jamba Juice's total liabilities exceeded its current assets in 2015 and 2016.
