Two key domains of human resource management are workforce planning/ recruitment and employee retention. Describe several human resource functions that fall under each and describe their importance to human resource management. Role and importance of workforce planning are -Organization should have the capability to fill out vacant positions in the firm which get vacant due to some contingency, the capability of the company to start with new project instantaneously as the internal talent is well trained to do so, and Company should plan on having right skillful employee so as to meet the everincreasing product development speed. Function of workforce planning - It is the foundation of any good workforce plan. It involves three distinct phases including Supply Analysis, Demand Analysis and Gap Analysis. The impertinent role of workplace recruitment is Hire and maintain employees who can develop ever changing technology, and Provide the work opportunities to retain employees because hiring an employee is not an easy task, Organization spends a lot of time and money in grooming the individual and make him well equipped with the tasks and corporate culture. 3. identify and describe some environmental forces that affect human resources function in health care services organizations Some environmental factors that affect human resources function in health care organizations are technology, economic, and labor. technology: technology influence on HR that cannot be ignored. This is a serious factor that influences the health care organization because not all professionals will be well versed to use all the medical equipment’s. As technology develop every day it is important for the medical practitioners to constantly update themselves. This calls for a new incentive and compensation plans to be instituted. Economic environment: economic conditions affect the demand and supply of the products, which in turn have an impact on the labor force and the type of workers required as well as employer’s capability to pay wages and other benefits. Economic conditions will affect the health care organization both directly and indirectly. For example, When the economy is down the health care organizations will not be able to give cheap Medicare for its patients, this will cause a turbulence in the management of the organization. labor market condition: The labor market is different basis employee groups in an organization. It is important for the experienced health care professionals to train the younger generation doctors. Knowledge transfer should take place and only then the younger doctors can perform well. This can be done by planned training sessions and properly coordinating the younger doctors with the experienced doctors....
