1. Crisostomo Ibarra

-humble -outspoken -idealistic -respectful -very patient and serious man -cultured

Leni Robredo

-well-respected by many and one of the Filipinos who finished their studies abroad. He had been living abroad for seven years. -typical Spanish mestizo but with a brown complexion with ruddy cheeks.

-she welcomes, accepts and respects every individual, especially the marginalized and LGBT one.

-continued his father's plan to build a schoolhouse to educate the children --becomes very violent and impulsive every time he was provoked or when Padre Damaso insulted his father 2. Maria Clara -she plays the piano and the harp and has a sweet voice. -does not value material things that were abundantly bestowed upon her by admirers and family alike but holds in high esteem her parents’ honor and the promise she had given to her sweetheart

-is a humble, running candidate for the position of President. She has an exceptional education background just like Ibarra. In his term as VP, she uses his voice to criticize and address the inhumane acts by the current administration.

-she wants Philippines to be free of corruption and have a transparent government -modest -religious -loyal to his love -good friend -obedient daughter

Toni Gonzaga -is a Filipino actress who is known to be vocal, together with her sister, Alex Gonzaga on their religious upbringing in their youth and how it continues to influence their adult lives. -just like Maria Clara, she is also modest and conservative, and respects and obeys their parents. -she can also play piano and has a talent for singing

3. Elias -owe a debt of gratitude to Ibarra, his friend for saving his life -a drastic revolutionary who wants to overthrow the country’s prevailing power structures

-selfless -doesn’t sow resentment to Ibarra -protected and helped his friend -supportive friend

-came from the wealthy family which the Ibarra clan had oppressed for generations. Despite that Ibarra's family subjugated his family, he is entirely indebted towards him.

4. Pilosopo Tasyo -Has exceptional talent for reasoning. -became an adviser for several individuals in town and isolates himself from the rest of the community --comes from a rich family. He is often the pessimist and is untrusting of human altruism. He also does not believe in the religious fanaticism that was in vogue during his time

Daniel Padilla - he is not closely the same with Elias, but the way they treated their friend is similar. He is supportive, not only to his girlfriend but also to their friends. For instance, the story of how they became close to Joshua Garcia. He saw Joshua sitting alone in the same restaurant they had been eating, and he approached him and became friends until now. -I can sense the same aura with Elias on how he bravely opposed his family in terms of politics.

-read a lot of books -intelligent like a philosopher one -independent -pessimistic, cynic, and mad by his neighbors

Chel Diokno -he is a lawyer, and his similarity to Pilosopo Tasyo is his intelligence and how he openly shares free legal advice to youth and individuals. -he studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at the UP Diliman, the same degree Tasyo took. -some also tease his physical appearance for having big teeth in relevance to politics, but it doesn’t affect him and pursue to fight human rights....
