In "Cooking Time," Anita Roy's fictional story is set in the future where real food does not exist; everything is artificially made, and AgroGlobal owns everything people need. Mandy is one of the constants that goes to a very popular show where contestants travel to the past to cook real food. She was amazed by having the chance to eat real food and plans a scheme to live a life where she can cook real food. Stella, her best friend, is taken to watch a video and see what could have had happened to Mandy. In the video, it seems that Mandy just disappeared and is nowhere to be found. Stella is mad and confuse. Towards the end of the story, Stella goes home, looks at Mandy's toolbox, and finds a letter where Mandy explains what happened and why she left to the past. In conclusion, Mandy loved cooking real food, so she stayed to see if she could change the past for a better future....
