PROJECT DESCRIPTION
No Chance Taken: A talk about Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation is a discussion that aims to spread awareness
about disasters to the residents of Pandacan, Manila. This will aid them to be prepared and vigilant to any upcoming disaster that may hit their barangays. This will be very helpful for the resident of Pandacan since we cannot determine when and where a disaster can occur, so it will be beneficial to spread information and awareness about what a disaster is and the different factors that it can affect.
III.
PROJECT RATIONALE
An average of 20 typhoons hit the Philippines each year and countless of unfortunate disasters can happen anytime. It is important to have awareness so that the residents of Pandacan will know what to do in case of a disaster to avoid any unnecessary mistakes while experiencing a disaster. This project is necessary because it does not only focus on typhoons, but it will also discuss about other disasters such as earthquake, fires, any many more. It will help them to have information on disasters so they will not panic and make things worse.
IV.
PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
The target of this project is the residents of Pandacan, Manila aging from 18-25 years old. This will benefit them a lo since it will increase their awareness and other adaptive skills during a disaster.

To inform and spread knowledge about the risks of different types of disaster
• To help decrease the chances of having high fatality rate in the area • To reduce the impact of disasters that hit the area
