Where and when were you born? I was born in Canberra, Australia, on the 15th October 1999. However, when I was 7 months old, my family moved back to Russia where I spent most of my life.

2.

What was the first language you learned, and what languages do you know? The first language I have learnt was Russian. Then, after I have moved to Australia, I’ve learnt English and after that, some Spanish.

3.

How much time do you spend each week: a) reading: 2 hours b) watching television: 0 hours c) watching movies: 1 hour d) using social media: 7-10 hours

4.

Tell me the name of a designer or visual artist who inspires you and why. Do not leave this blank or say you don’t know…at the very least, recall the design work if not its designer One designer who inspires mw is Maison Margeila, because he achieved something amazing with nothing but his creative thinking. He is very unique, and all his designs are trendsetting. Most of the stuff that goes into and out of fashion was already once done by Margeila.

5.

Tell me about something you have made (related to design) about which you feel proud. I have designed my own T-Shirts for my own brand called ‘Project Vein’. I ordered 50 pieces and managed to sell all of them. I also worked as a freelance graphic designer, and I currently create graphic abstract art and collages and post them on Instagram.

6.

What is: a) your current favorite song (links welcome!): my favourite songs change every week or so, but my current favourite one is XO TOUR LIF3 by Lil Uzi b) your all time favorite musician/band: I love way too many musicians from different genres of music to name one

7.

Tell me something about yourself that distinguishes you from your classmates. To put it another way, what makes you interesting? I have a dual citizenship, I am both Russian and Australian. Both of my parents are pure 100% Russian. My dad decided to finish his PhD in Australia, and while my parents were living there I was born. When I was around 7 months old, we travelled back to Russia, where I spent most of my life. At age 11, we decided to move back to Australia so I could finish school there and learn English, and after living there for 6 years I became fluent. Since I was studying English as my first

8.

On a scale of 0 (least) to 10 (most), how interesting are you? Why?

10 – I always have something to talk about, I have a weird background story, I love socializing and I always want to bring out a smile in people. I guess in that sense I can always seem interesting to the person I am talking to.

Exercise 1 // Why are you here? In least 3 sentences, tell your TA and professor about what you hope to learn from this course and your future work at UC Davis. Share any hopes or expectations about what you want to take away from this class – or about your career. There’s no correct answer; write in your own personal voice.

I have great passion for all types of design, but I am yet not sure if that's what I want to do for the rest of my life. thus, I am taking this course to find out if design is the right thing for me, experiment with my creativity and knowledge, and see if the skills I learn throughout the quarter are the skills I want to use in my future career. By the end of this class I want to know if my passion for design would be strong enough to take another course, or maybe even make me major in design....
