Publishing Timeline Morgan and Joseph

Books Oliver Twist (1837-1838) He wrote it in parts for a magazine in 1837. He published the full thing in 1838. A Christmas Carol (1843) Published on December 17, 1843. Dealings with the Firm of Dombey and Son. (1846-1848) Published in monthly instalments.

Continued David Copperfield (1849-1850) No one had ever written a character that followed the character throughout everyday life. Published in monthly instalments. This was his personal favorite book. Bleak House (1852-1853) Considered his most complex work.

Hard Times (1854) Focuses on the shortcomings of employers and those that seek change. A Tale of Two Cities (1859) Takes place in French Revolution in London. Great Expectations (1861) Considered Dickens greatest literary accomplishment. Written in second person.
