Description

The level of social responsibility With social responsibility it is all about the ethical theory whereby, and individual is solely accountable for their duty as a citizen, the actions that they take is supposed to benefit the society (Pachamama Alliance, 2021). As for the level of social responsibility that I think a corporation should have in general are legal responsibilities, ethical responsibility, economical responsibility, and philanthropic responsibility (Ahmed, 2020). With legal responsibility it is all about the corporation respecting the law that the government sets for the business. They have to make sure that they are following the letter of the law. Businesses need to know their local law, as-well as the international law, they also need to have a basic understanding of the rules, and the regulatory bodies of the business industry that they are in, so that they know their social responsibility towards the society. By abiding to the law, and not overlooking some of the law they are doing their part of legal responsibility as all the law are important and not only some (Ahmed, 2020). Ethical responsibility is all about the core values of a business, it is when a business goes above, and beyond in doing the right thing. It is more than just doing things based on the law, as it is a choice of doing what is right for the business, and its employees. It is more or less when a business puts their employees above everything else, by showing them that they are valued in the business, for example the company can offer their employees a bonus at the end of the year for their hard work, or they can raise the employee’s salary in being above the minimum wage (Ahmed, 2020). Businesses sometimes tend to neglect their economical responsibility as they focus more on their way of being profitable so that they can have the money to pay for their bills, employees, shareholders, and their investors. It is their responsibility to make sure that they are meeting their goals, for them to be successful. However, they have a duty towards the community that they should not forget, as putting the community in mind so as not to harm them will make the business even more successful. They can

do that by outsourcing the right products to use, having a sustainable practice, and treating their employees, and customers with care, and fairness (Ahmed, 2020). Philanthropic responsibility is one of the most important part of the social responsibility. It is the act of giving, or helping which a company does to the society. It shows that the company is not interested only in making a profit for its business. However, they have the intentions of the society at heart. Whereby, they donate money to people in need, or they do other charitable work which does have a positive impact in the society (Ahmed, 2020).
