How does this unethical behavior affect FIFA? If your business relates to FIFA (for example, you are the owner of a soccer club), how will your business be affected by this news and how will you deal with it?

1. Watching the clip and videos, it is proved that the allegations regarding corruption in FIFA to back up England for 2018 World Cup bid are true. Of course, the unethical behavior affects FIFA devastately. Any kind of bad publicity or allegations affect the goodwill of an organization or individuals involved in the game. This kind of unethical behavior affects the game in a way that there is no support from the viewers and fans. They give a negative feedback through mass media. It also affects the sponsorship. The brand owners and big sponsors do not want to be related to avoid allegations and controversies. Many individuals on higher position have resigned. Is has also affected it competitors. There is lack of code of conduct and quality of play. Society expects a higher quality service. There should be responsibilities towards committee, sponsors, as well as society. Ultimately, it affects the growth of the organization making it unstable. To end this, committee is planning to take integral actions against people giving rise to malpractices and corruption. Legal actions should be taken against FIFA to recover the loss.

After watching the clip it is proved that the scandal was happened in FIFA for the 2018 and 2022 bid. This unethical behavior will affect the integrity of FIFA. By offering 2022 world cup to be Qatar. A nation that don’t have soccer tradition and don’t even follow the labor human rights standards. It is clearly seeing by the resignation of FIFA President Sepp Blatter and other top officials. This will be big questions for fans and sponsors to believe the organization in terms of matches and other rights offered. In FIFA the ethical code of contact is not followed and there is no any other organization to control FIFA. It is the main reason for this scandal. Because of the unethical behavior it affects the future of the organization and also affects the future business contracts with sponsors and team. Millions of people and fan base for FIFA will lose their hope on FIFA and its operations. Being the owner of a soccer club, my business gets affected with the allegations about the corruption in FIFA, I will be disappointed as well as shocked seeing such heartbreaking news about the game as FIFA has been the world football league. It is the ultimate game for football lovers. They belong to the different parts of the world. I will be withdrawing my name associated with the game as I do not want the reputation to fall down. There is big risk involved and being a business person I like to avoid big risk as my business goodwill is at stake.

If I am a owner of the FIFA soccer club. First, I will give a condemn statement about scandal and the persons who involved. My decision will be based on how situation of my team is. If my team is a leading team in FIFA or it has great influence in FIFA and their audience. My team will support the investigation and team reform of FIFA with proper governing body and my I will place my member in that governing body, for the future well organized FIFA and in terms of code of contact. If my team is smaller one I will withdrawn my sponsorship to the team.

Hi Ricky, Nice and detailed post. I would like to add some points on, How a firm a regain the trust. Firm needs to own up the mistake and take responsibility for the problem. The second the firms needs to determine the source of the problem to provide a solution. Third the firm need to engage more customer oriented activities and be customer centric in customer claims, product issues and collect customer feedbacks regularly from the customer. Offer customer incentive and a loyal customer and referral customer bonuses.

Hi Christopher, Thanks for you valuable information shared about the topic. I agree with your points. I would like to add some points about how a firm can regain the trust after a crisis. After a crisis firm needs to respond immediately about it on social media, and take responsibility for the crisis. Addressing the problem quickly, effectively, and honestly will help to regain the trust. Conducting a influencer campaign focused on customer centric programs to rebuild the customer trust. Transparency of the companies operations and the quality of the product also help to regain the customer trust.
