These changes in vital signs should be reported to the doctor and anesthesia just in case they are not patient attention. Remember, the patient is not able to speak up for themselves, therefore the nurse should step in. After the patient has been taken to the recovery area, it is important to follow with a full assessment. To provide the patient with anything they might need. The patient has gone through a traumatic event, a psychologist should be called in to talk with the patient and family. This will help with the consequences and effects of the surgery; it will alleviate the feeling of concern for the patient.
