Qualifications for ECE and ECT Examinations  Citizen of the Philippines or foreign country according to section 33 of this Act  Good moral character  For ECE – BSECE graduate or equivalent  For ECT – graduate of associate, technician or vocational course; minimum 3rd year equivalent of BSECE

Qualifications for PECE  Valid certificate of registration and professional ID as ECE  Valid membership from APO  Active self-practice/government service/private sector for 7 years with 2 years of significant engineering work from oath as ECE  3 certificates from 3 PECE’s stating the documents as factual  En banc oral interview for verification  Provided that registered ECE’s for at least 7 years may not submit the 3 certificates Excel Review Center

Board Examination  To pass the exam: average of more than 70% with the minimum of 70% each subject.  Conditionally passed: average of more than 70% of majority of subjects but one subject has below 70% but above 60%.  Release results within 15 days

Exemptions from Examinations (Section 26) Exam and registration are not required if you are employed by government or private company in the following cases: 1. No other Filipino professional available 2. Stated as temporary employment of a foreign professional 3. As defined on the Trade in Services provided:  The foreigner is qualified  The work of foreigner is limited to what is stated in contract  Secure a permit from commission

 Foreigner shall not engage in private practice  2 Filipino professionals shall be employed per foreigner hired  The special permit is good for only 6 months, and can be renewed every 6 months

Penal Provision (Section 35) The following will be penalized with not less than PHP100,000 nor not more than PHP1M or by imprisonment of not less than 6 months nor not more than 6 years. 1. Fraud 2. Using of others ID 3. Present revoked ID 4. Pretend as certified PECE, ECE, ECT 5. Use seal with revoked ID 6. ECE Laws 3 Excel Review Center Seal of PECE (Section 29) A dry seal consisting of two concentric circles with the outer circle measuring 48 mm in diameter and the inner circle measuring 32 mm in diameter with the appearance of an atom with a nucleus and electron on the upper portion, a horizontal space bearing the word LICENSE NO. and just below is the license number. The portion of the inner circle below the diametral space shall bear the name of the person holding the Professional Electronics Engineer license. The upper portion of the annular space bears the words PROFESSIONAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEER and the lower portion bear the word PHILIPPINES.

Seal of Board (Section 29) The seal consists of two concentric circles, with the outside circle measuring 48 mm in diameter and the inner circle measuring 28 mm in diameter. The upper part of the annular space bear the words BOARD OF ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING and lower half the words PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION. The inner circle space has the symbol of an atom with a nucleus and electrons located at the middle portion. The outer and inner ring is filled with orange with boundaries in navy blue color, the text is black with white background, the inner ring is filled with navy blue background, the atom with white and the nucleus and electrons in red color.
