English and Spanish in Cont rast is aim ed at adult learners of English or Spanish wit h som e previous knowledge of bot h languages, but also t o t eachers and non- nat ive speakers who want t o increase t heir proficiency in any of t he t wo languages. The book is divided int o a t heoret ical sect ion, w here select ed issues of t he Spanish and English linguist ic syst em s are explained and cont rast ed; and a pract ical sect ion, which includes exercises t o accom pany t he explanat ions and concent rat es on pract ising upon t hose aspect s t hat are a part icular problem t o non- nat ive speakers and usually, t he source of t he m ost frequent m ist akes.
