hypersensitivity , nonanaphylactic shock during general anesthesia b1 and b2 agonist causing increased levels of cAMP thereby closed-angle glaucoma, producing bronchodilator, cardiac CNS stimulation, high doses cause vasoconstriction via a receptors . low doses can cause vasodilation via b2 vascular receptors breathing problems, fast or pounding heartbeats, sweating; nausea and vomiting, dizziness; weakness or tremors; headache, anxiety, confusion, hallucinations , dry eyes,
β-blockers, such as propranolol. Cyclopropane or halogenated hydrocarbon anesthetics, . Antihistamines, Thyroid hormones, Diuretics. Cardiac glycosides, such as digitalis glycosides. Quinidine.
Obtain complete health history including allergies, drug history and possible drug interactions. presence/history of anaphylactic shock, asthma, glaucoma, ventricular fibrillation, croup, septic shock, wheezing Obtain vital signs.
