Hi I’m Mark Zuckerberg, and I believe that social media has revolutionized each aspect of life. First of all, social media has enabled everyone to connect with one another very easily. According to a survey done by OnePoll and Evite, the average number of friends that an American has is 16 through their real-life encounters, while an average Facebook user has around 338 in his/her friends list. This means that social media has broaden a person’s network immensely and has enabled everyone to socialize with a lot less effort. The second thing I’d like to point out is that social media has been playing a key part in economic growth. Social media websites like Facebook has developed new channels for job opportunities, cheaper promotion for businesses and also a marketplace for selling or buying products. In 2020 alone, 85% of total advertising revenue came from social media platforms, with an estimated total value of 40.35$ billion dollars. Additionally, Facebook Marketplace generated over 26 billion in revenue with over 1 billion registered users. These figures are just from Facebook alone, not to mention other platforms like Instagram or Twitter, so the economic impact of social medias is undisputed. I believe these two facts alone is sufficient in explaining why social media has helped society for the better....
