Famous Author’s Life: r.h Sin Reuben Holmes goes by the name r.h. Sin, he is an American poet that became known by posting his poetry on instagram. He is 27 years old and was born in New Jersey, but his mother relocated his family to a public housing in Tampa after she left his father. He liked to go to the library and he would usually read Edgar Allan Poe. He spent his nights in bed with a composition book copying Poe’s work so that he could use his poems as reference. Later on, in high school he started writing essays and narrative stories on a journal. When it came time to go to college he decided that he did not wanted to go because he hated the idea of going to school, then college to get a job that would never produce enough money to pay debts. In 2006 he started posting his writings on twitter and got a job at Target meanwhile he was increasing his amount of followers. In 2014 he began to compose epigrams and short and satirical poems. He tends to write to women, he gives advice and talks about how a men should treat a women and how women are not supposed to settle for less than what they deserve. r.h. Sin says that he writes what he would say to his sister, to his mother, or to the women he wants to protect. He states that sometimes women treat men badly because of their past, sometimes it is because the first man that broke their hearts are their own fathers. He tries to understand women. On his website he said “I just wanted the opportunity to speak to the women who are like the ones I’ve met throughout life. All fighting something, all surviving something. My art, my poetry is my way of giving back to all the powerful women who have either inspired me or helped me become a better man.” He is famous for the books that he has published, such as whiskey words and a shovel , parts I, II and III; a beautiful composition of broken , and planting gardens in graves. One
