FNCE30007 Derivative Securities Semester 2, 2021 Mid-Semester Exam: Instructions Note: In what follows, the words “Exam, Test, Quiz, MST” are used equivalently

1. The MST is open book and open notes. 2. No formulae sheet will be provided. 3. You will have to answer 14 Multiple Choice questions within 60 minutes. 4. There is no reading time for the MST. 5. No marks will be deducted for an incorrect response. 6. No partial credit will be awarded: for each question, you will either receive full marks or a zero mark. 7. Marks are shown next to each question. 8. As indicated on the Study Guide, the test will be held on Thursday, 9 September starting at 3:15 PM AEST. To take the test, you need to log onto CANVAS and go to the Quizzes section from the main navigation page. You can start the exam anytime within a 2.5 hours (=150 minutes) window, commencing at 3:15 PM AEST and ending at 5:45 PM AEST. Once you have commenced the exam, you must complete and submit it within 60 minutes For example, if you start at 3:25 PM AEST, the quiz will be submitted automatically at 4:25 PM AEST, if you have not submitted it earlier. If you commence the exam after 4:45 PM AEST, then the quiz will be submitted automatically at 5:45 PM AEST, if you have not submitted it earlier. 9. Prior to submitting the quiz, you are allowed to change your answers. Once submitted, your answers cannot be changed. 10. Please do not close your window browser once you have commenced the exam. If you experience any technical issues and you are able to quickly resolve them, you can reenter the quiz within the remaining allocated time. If you are not able to resolve the issue and, hence, cannot complete the exam, please follow the link

11. An announcement will be made on CANVAS when your quiz results are available. 12. For the MST, you are responsible for lecture recordings, lecture slides, textbook chapters (sections indicated on the lecture slides), textbook problems (posted on Canvas), additional videos and articles covered in weeks 1 through 5. You are also responsible for tutorial materials covered in weeks 2 through 6. 13. For all calculations, rounding should only be performed on the final answer. i.e., do not perform any rounding on intermediate steps unless stated otherwise. 14. Collusion amongst students is absolutely forbidden and will result in very serious consequences....
