Reader Response Free-writing

For me, the heavy use of English and Spanish words are more than adequate, but it is just because I am lucky to know both languages. For instance, twenty years ago, my cousin came to the states illegally; she had a visa that let it her cross, but just for that, not for her to live here. Everything she did was to provide enough for her family, not only knowing she had to learn English and take not only for herself but also for herself. Her children, too, I respect her so much that I call her "tia" (aunt) even though she is not. Back then, she cleaned houses. For such a low amount of money, but after waiting twenty years, all her tears, sweat, and effort became worth waiting. Today she can finally work legally and get the genuine check she deserves; she also learned full and good English. Now my family and I could not be any more proud of her. She did overcome not only the language barrier but also an abusive relationship. Now my aunt has her place, and her own money makes me remember that anything is possible if you try and not give any excuses regardless if I feel like giving up on anything I treasure this story. It makes me think that if she could do all that by herself, I can also do anything that I aspire to do in life....
