FILM REVIEW ON THAI MOVIE “FRIEND ZONE” The Thai movie Friend Zone is all about looking for the other half but is revolving in a different kind of relationship like “MU” or mutual understanding. In Friend Zone movie this borderline is called “friendzone” meaning those who are in the middle between staying friends or choosing to become lovers. It revolves around Palm who is in the friend zone with his best friend named Gink. Since they are still in high school Palm tried to confess his love to Gink but was rejected and stating that being friends is enough. Since then, both of them stayed together as true best friends. Both Palm and Gink have this special relationship because when Palm breaks up with his girlfriend Gink will rush into him and talk to him to give some insights. Similarly, when Gink fights with her boyfriend she will only call Palm and he will be there as soonest as possible whenever she was in abroad like Hong Kong and Malaysia because of his status as a flight attendant. This is also the reason why Gink’s boyfriend is angry because of Palm’s out of relationship kindness. I am not a fan of this Thai movie because it only starts as a romantic comedy then it’s a bit irritating to watch because both of these characters are not loyal and faithful to their respective partners. I am not against in having my girlfriend having a male friend but they must respect their boundaries. The movie too is repetitive because of this cliché moment like when Gink gets into a problem Palm will aid her and the same as the other and giving us a predictable plot. Palm is also the reason why this friendzone is going on because he has many chances to confess his feelings to Gink but refuses to do so and Gink is ready to reciprocate. Therefore, it is hard to empathize with Palm because of his passive trait. However, in the end when Gink is already a designer and Palm works as a flight attendant, they finally admitted to each other that they love one another. Despite the delays even as friends Palm is always there for Gink. Sometimes we must muster our courage to confess because we don’t know if that chance is still going to be around in the future. If they love you they will wait for you and will never leave you alone no matter what....
