zzzzzzzz Screen Acting Given Circumstances: In Class Shoot Aliff and I were playing as Joan and Bernard, a couple who is filing for a divorce. We are in our early 30s and our son Walt is the only thing keeping us together. Even though we are leaving each other in a couple of months, we still both hold strong feelings and attachment towards each other. Now the reason for our divorce goes way back. Allow me to start from the very beginning: I am a businessman and for these last two months I been working longer hours in order to further our company. However, one night I was stressed, miserable, and lonely so I slept with my secretary. Our relationship has been spiraling down; we never stopped arguing over the smallest things and we no longer showed signs of affection. Whenever I come home from a long day of dreadful work, Joan always nags and yells at me about how I am never home or there for her or Walt. Obviously I want to be home spending time with my family, but I cannot! I have the responsibility of my job and the responsibility of providing money for our household. Joan’s job is to take care of the house and Walt when I can not do so. Instead what she could do is stop spending my hard earned money on useless things! My secretary, Laura, has been so much more understanding and supportive for the longest I can remember. Especially when the company is in a dire situation as it is right now, she and I have been so close to work things out, unlike how Joan and I refuse to work our problems out. Eventually, we had a connection that sparked into something more and it was a terrible mistake I committed. I feel terribly sorry for breaking Joan’s trust and hurting her, but at the same time I do not. She refuses to ever work out any problems with me, its always an unfair compromise in which I give in to her demands. Now, when I completely screwed up, once again,

she refuses to work things out. I tried pleading and convincing her, but she remains adamant and stubborn as ever. Maybe it was for the best, I did try everything I could. I can not force someone to accept my apology for my mistake. However, the way our relationship has been--me pouring my heart out and receiving no support nor affection—is borderline abusive. I tried making things work and gave my all to her, but she refuses to do the same. I always give 110% when she gives 80%. There was no way the relationship was going to last unless I was content with receiving unfair amount of love. I still care for Walt as he is my blood and son, but not every relationship works out and this happens to be one of them. I will definitely not forget my responsibility as a father and make sure Walt still receives proper upbringing, regardless if Joan wants to cooperate....
