The Shortcuts of Modern World As the world evolves, the human does too. Adopting its surroundings is a common human nature, where we can cope up fast with the things that are new to us, especially if we encounter it every day. We are also greedy and curious about discoveries. We love to improve and make our daily lives easy. That is why we gave birth to modernization, who bring us comfort and a lifestyle without stress. And as a human we are easy-going creature, we dislike complicated things, so because of impatience we do shortcuts that sometimes bring misunderstanding and confusion to our fellow human being, we go overboard and do some reckless things that can affect us negatively and regret afterward. After seeing those images, I feel nostalgic all of the sudden. Since I’m also part of this modern generation, I also experienced some of the given photos. Just like texting using jeje language (Jejemon Language). It is ‘uso’ in our time, so nearly all of us was using this kind of text because we want to be into the trend, but also sometimes it is a disadvantage to us because some of the adults that are not familiar with it misunderstood us and called us ‘bobo’ or stupid, and using jeje language is now an embarrassment to us. In this modern world, we are already aware of gadgets and how to use them. It is already part of our daily lives that sometimes we can’t live without. Regardless of age, gadgets invaded the minds of people from the children to even the seniors, since it is very convenient for them to use for communication. I am also guilty since I’m so into gadgets and social media. I also learned it from my parents who are also into gadgets. Just by looking at the pictures, I know the message it conveys. Man acquires his knowledge, beliefs, morals, customs, and other habits and capacities from his interactions with others in the society where he belongs, just base on the first photo which shows the jejemon text, as I mentioned earlier that since everyone is using this style of text I was also influenced to use it. We learn about our cultural practices and traditions by listening, talking, and interacting with other people. And about the gadgets as a child, we learn appropriate behavior by observing and copying the behavior of adults. It only shows us, that culture does affect the personality you have. That the environment that you are inhabiting is what defines and molds you for who you are....
