How project stakeholders can influence the final characteristics of the project’s products, services, or results?...

Description

How project stakeholders can influence the final characteristics of the project’s products, services, or results? The definition of the Stakeholders indicates that they are the interest groups for a specific project such as direct or indirect clients, the team that will implement the project, - investors, clients, partners, managers, suppliers. All the Stakeholders must be analyzed in order to understand what interest they have as well as what motivates them with which it will be possible to define how much influence they may have on the project. When the degree of influence that the interested parties can have is known, it will be possible to define how to manage them and how to know in which phase of the project they will participate or where it will be relevant. For the project to be successful, an important aspect is communication with the Stakeholders, whether internal or external, to try to minimize the negative influence on the project. An important part of the project is to analyze the people who will participate in the project as well as the responsibilities and scope of each one of them. Another important aspect to consider with the Stakeholders is that as the project progresses the number of people involved increases. The management, communication and relationship of the Stakeholders can be a critical factor in the positive or negative influence of the project. Mismanagement of the Stakeholders with the lack of communication and relationship between the different parties involved can weaken and even block the project. The selection and monitoring of the Stakeholders are very important to achieve the success of the project that a bad influence by an interested party can cause to undo all the effort and that the project goes in the wrong direction. Stakeholders can make a project move towards success or lead to a negative outcome. Although the projects are designed as a rationally established process, they will always be influenced by the decision-making of the people themselves, as well as by the objectives and motives of each of the Stakeholders. This whole process is complicated when several Stakeholders will try to impose their criteria on the objective of the project.
