well as he has many run-ins with police because he constantly breaks curfew. Rico struggles with school, so he thinks that it is not important to finish school. He

wants to drop out of school as his parents did. Proposed Interventions What are the least restrictive and intrusive interventions that you recommend for this family? 1. Refer Quianna to a community mental health organization where she can get help to deal with her emotions and manage the things that caused them. 2. Refer Julio to a temp agency that will help him to find better-paying jobs based on his skills and his experiences. 3. Refer Julio to the community health center. 4. Refer the family to the community language center where they can take English and Spanish classes. 5. Refer Rico to after-school classes and activities. 6. Refer both Julio and Quianna to the community center so that they can take GED classes 7. Refer Quianna to the Human Services Department where she can get assistance with childcare, food, and financial assistance for her family. 8. Refer the Riverez family to get family counseling sessions. This will help with communication and will give Rico the chance of talking to his parents about what he is going through. Proposed Strategies Which systemic family strategies best align with the identified needs and strengths of the family and their level of resilience? 1. Quianna will meet with a counselor at the community counselor centers of Chicago so that she can get help from a professional with her uncontrolled emotions. 2. Julio will meet with a temp agent in Chicago called Elite Staffing Inc, they will help him to find a better-paying job.

3. Julio would be referred to the community health center so that he can get regular checkups on his health. 4. The family will attend English and Spanish classes at the community language center. This will help and improve communication in the family. 5. Rico will attend after-school classes and activities to help keep him out of trouble. 6. Julio and Quianna will attend the learning center so that they can complete their GED for free that they can be qualified to get better jobs. 7. Quianna will be referred to the department of human services so that she can get help for her family financially, get childcare for her children, and food to feed her children. 8. The Riverez family will attend family counseling sessions together, this will help with communication and Rico will have a chance to talk to his parent about what he is going through. With the afterschool program, Rico will have a different outlook on school and different choices. 3. Julio will get a better-paying job so that he can care for his family’s needs. 4. Julio’s health will get better care and he will start feeling better soon. 5. Julio and Quianna will get their GED 6. Julio will be able to have better communication with his family after he has finished taking his English class and the family counseling. 7. Quianna can get some help with the children, food, and her finances so that it won’t be so stressful on the family. Overall Assessment (Family)

What are the strengths and needs of the family? 4. How did your selected assessment help to frame your approach to working with the family? 1. I used the ecomap and culturagram assessments to analyze the family’s needs and strengths. 2. 2. I realized that Julio and Quianna are strong individuals because they both try to keep their families together even though their families did not support them. Rico, who is the eldest son, is struggling in school and this causes him to think that dropping out of school is the best thing for him. 3. 3. The strength of the family are love, responsibility, and love. Their needs are a better-paying job for Julio, a safer neighborhood, childcare for the children, and some extra financial help. 4. The assessments that I chose framed my approach to the family because they both shun light on both the strengths and the needs of the family which helped me to quickly identify them so that the process can begin.
