WWF Designing Change for a Living Planet Competition We are looking for students to represent Humber/Guelph-Humber at the annual WWF Designing Change for a Living Planet competition on March 14, 2020! Students from all academic programs are invited to apply and they will have the opportunity to: Represent the College Create and innovate at WWF with their student team of four Connect with other post-secondary students and staf Develop new contacts with professionals from diferent industries Present concepts to WWF staf and a panel of expert judges Compete for a prize (to be announced) and a one-on-one mentoring opportunity with an industry professional in a sector area of their choice The conference will be held at the WWF Toronto office. Humber’s Social Innovation Awards The Office of Sustainability has partnered with Applied Research & Innovation to provide financial assistance to current Humber/Guelph-Humber students enrolled in any program with the purpose of enabling new, sustainable innovative ideas for products, inventions and/or solutions. Students must develop a sustainable and socially innovative project that addresses at least two of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Benefits include: Positive impact: Your ideas have the ability to positively transform the environment and your community. Co-Curricular Record (CCR): All of the hours you track through this program are eligible for CCR Funding: A portion of $5000 in VISA gift cards will be provided to the successful applicants Experience: You'll bump up your skills in areas including project management, budgeting, research, problem solving, leadership and networking Networking: Facilitate campus and community connections to help your project thrive.
