Cover Letter Template Options – Fillable Form & Fill in the Blanks

Cover Letter option #1 – PDF FORM This is a fillable form Cover Letter. You will notice that each text box indicates what to write. The instructions in each box will disappear once you start typing. If you need a reminder, allow your mouse to hover over the text box and an instructions message will appear. You will notice 3 paragraphs (Intro, Background, Call to Action). Each text box has a character word limit. For formatting purposes, please ensure each of the three paragraphs are filled in as much as possible PUBLISHING 

When you are done filling in your cover letter you have two options: o Option1: Export and Save as a PDF o Option 2: Export and Save as Word document

Option 1 – Export to PDF In the PDF, select the following functions: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

File > Print > Select Printer (Print is another term used to publish) Select Adobe PDF A save file box will appear > name file and save to desired location Open the readable PDF Submit your cover letter

Option 2 – Export to Word Doc. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Select the ‘Export PDF’ option (On the tool bar on right side of screen) Select word document Select export Save your cover letter to desired location Submit your cover letter

Cover Letter option #2 – Fill in the blanks word form This is a short, fill in the blanks Cover Letter template. Please note: that this style is very brief and will not provide a lot of detail about who you are. You are always encouraged to write a long form Cover Letter if time permits. To use this fill in the blanks form, please select the areas in all caps and highlighted in red and fill in the indicated information. Once all information has been entered, name and save your file as a Word or PDF and submit your cover letter....
