Jason has recorded the cars rented for all sites in January, February and March. The spreadsheet model below allows Jason to determine how many days each car is being rented each month and he can then analyse the relative profitability of each car category across the outlet rental sites. If a customer rents a car for a short period of time (7 days or less) the charge is calculated by category of car, at a standard daily rate listed in the Car Rental Rates Input Sheet displayed below. If a customer rents a car for more than 7 days then they receive a discount of 10% of the total charge for rental.
