Medial Arch Tape Job -

Goal o Support medial arch of the foot o Pushing the existing fat pad of the heel Anchor o Runs across the metatarsal heads around the dorsum of the foot  Ultra light  Zinc tape  when you seal it at the dorsum of the foot, you put pressure into the foot to splay the toes aprat o 2nd Anchor  run from lateral side, around the back, and up the medial side  Edges of the foot Ask the patient to flex their toes o To shorten the arch Tear Drop Strips o Rip the zinc oxide tape in half (lengthwise) o Use ½ width piece of tape  1st metatarsal head, diagonally to the calcaneus, behind the heel, then pull up the medial side o Use ½ width zinc oxide tape  3rd metatarsal head o Use ½ width zinc oxide  5th metatarsal head o FANNING when reattaching the strip to the anchor, fan medially o Close Windows  2nd metatarsal head  4th metatarsal head  Lateral to medial strips (whole width of zinc oxide)  Covering the tear drops Redo the Anchors o Reverse order o 1  Lateral to medially, behind calcaneus o 2  metatarsal heads...
