Description

Ann Lee Professor Claver GERN 400; Section 001 03 Jan 2018 Life Review: Proposal/Script Every individual has an unique life experiences as they go through different stages in their life. It is in these stages in life that the individual will have developed their personal perspectives and judgments while acquiring strengths and wisdoms along the way of achieving personal developments. Some people will go through more intense physical, emotional, and mental challenges or hardships than others, but no matter what the level of intensity each individual has gone through in their life, it has led them to be the person of who they are today. "The life review is characterized by a progressive return to consciousness of past experience, in particular the resurgence of unresolved conflicts which can now be surveyed and integrated. . . . If unresolved conflicts and fears are successfully reintegrated they can give new significance and meaning to an individual’s life. (Butler, 1974, p. 534)" (Moody, 2018, Page 40) For this proposal, I plan to interview my boyfriend’s father because I remember being in awe and inspired by few of his dad’s dinner table conversations. I hope to learn from his father’s family background, childhood, and all the important life events and/or career experiences from his early days through retirement--to find out how one’s life experiences can change an individual’s mental outlook and physical conditions in the aging process. Through his journey, I intend to apply the lessons or knowledge learned for my own considerations in life as well. All of the interview questions will have components of the biopsychosocial model, which consists of biological, psychological, and social aspects, making up the reality in life. (Julia Cardoso, 2016)

Lastly, I hope to gain a better understanding of how these three aspects influenced his life and how it impacted his mental and physical health.

5 Biological Questions 1. Can you describe your family background and your childhood upbringing is like? 2. What do you think about your physical aspects of life and changes about your body? 3. What is your current diet for your health and do you need assistance related to health complication

Psychological Questions 1. What do you think of yourself and how would you describe your experiences in life? 2. What were some of challenges courses that had an influence in your life and how did you overcome those scenarios? Do you think it had a dramatic effect on your lifestyle and shaped you to become who you are today? 3. What was your form of coping mechanism to overcome those stress, anxious, and frustration in those situations? 4.

If you had a chance to go back in time, what would you do differently to change the past?
