Man is the measure of all things
I think this idea states that man is the center or the source of everything, may it be a thing or not. Man, as a rational being, gives himself the sole idea of how things work in connection, in relation, or in representation to him since he can think and know. But man does not provide a reliable reference on the measurement of things. Man understands the world in a manner he interacts with it, how he views it, what use or what meaning it gives to his life, and what worth it has on him. Grasping what the known is worth to him, how it links to his needs, values and actions. Man has his own individual truths. It really depends on how he perceives a thing or how it appears to him. It’s all relative. It is on a man’s point of view what a thing is to him as a person, of what makes sense to him, and what value it has for life – it is on him to judge and decide. But take note, man is the measure of all things, but things also exist without man....
