1.0 Introduction Anchor is a brand that produces dairy products. The brand, Anchor, which was founded in 1886, comes from New Zealand (Anchor, 2020a). Anchor has produced a variety of product, for example, salted and unsalted butter, whipping cream, cream cheese, full cream milk and so on (Anchor, 2020a). Among all of the products, the Salted Pure New Zealand Butter at 227g will only be focusing. Butter is one of the purest foods in the world that made from natural ingredients which is fresh cream with salt. Anchor Butter is made in New Zealand with rBSTfree milk from pasture-grazed cows and contains no additives. Anchor Salted Pure New Zealand Butter is perfect for both sweet and savoury recipes. It is made from 100% pure New Zealand milk, and with a rich and creamy taste, this salted butter is the natural choice for every homechef’s favourite dishes (Anchor, 2020b). The five direct competitors of the Anchor Salted Pure New Zealand Butter are Westgold New Zealand Salted Butter, Emborg Salted Butter, Arla Salted Butter, Golden Churn Australian Pure Creamery Salted Butter and Cowhead Salted Pure Creamery Salted Butter. The reason why these five brands are the direct competitors of the Anchor Salted Pure New Zealand Butter is that they have the same type of product, which is salted butter that imported from another country. These brands can be easily found in supermarkets like Aeon, Tesco. All the prices are based on the salted butter at 200g, 227g or250g. Since not every brand has the same weights or size, price adjustment per 100g will be used for comparing all the prices of the brands. All the prices are obtained from Happy Fresh Online Store. The qualities are looked at the criteria of all the brands such as awards, ingredients, recognition, nutrition and characteristics of the salted butter.
