The song Maybellene by Chuck Berry is about a broken romance and describes a man driving a V8 Ford. The song is a sort of a story of a man that cannot understand why his girlfriend was unfaithful. He is chasing her in his V8 Ford and she is driving a Cadillac. It seems that she wants to get away from him to avoid facing him with the truth, that is why she is speeding on the highway.
