Make a list of the major deliverables for the project and use them to develop a draft of the work breakdown structure for the tournament that contains at least three levels of detail. What are the major deliverables associated with hosting an event such as a soccer tournament? a. The major deliverables for the soccer tournament would be finding the right stadium, people to work the event such as security, vendors, or referees, then sponsors to go around the stadium to help raise income, and then booking the event. The first level of detail and priority would be the soccer tournament itself, since it’s the main event. Then the second level would be the deliverables listed before. Lastly the third level could be maintenance of the stadium or having proper parking for people to attend. 2. How would developing a WBS alleviate some of the problems that occurred during the first meeting and help Nicolette organize and plan the project? a. A WBS allows for there to be concise plan with every project broken down. The first meeting needed a WBS since everyone came in with different opinions, and with a WBS they could have all worked together to see what was exactly the best plan for them all. 3. Where can Nicolette find additional information to help her develop a WBS for the tournament? a. Nicolette could talk to other club project managers who have dealt with a similar situation when putting on a tournament. They could have advice for her since they are experienced in the field already. 4. How could Nicolette and her task force use the WBS to generate cost estimates for the tournament? Why would this be useful information? a. The WBS would help Nicolette and her force the generate the cost estimates for the tournament by breaking down each project by its estimated price point. They would be able to see how much each step would cost and what the appropriate amount to

budget would be. They would know their limits, and they would be able to spend accordingly so the important stuff is handled first and anything else that could be considered as extra, could be paid for last if money remains....
