Staffing and Compensation Plan for Google Staffing, compensation, and other similar HRM practices directly impact an employee’s motivation as well as their ability to provide world-class customer service (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, & Wright, 2019, p.76). Companies that invest their time and effort into staffing and compensation are able to be competitive in their industry. Google’s compensation and staffing strategy is highly competitive and has surpassed other competing firms (Lombardo, 2017). The company provides high salaries, comprehensive incentives and nonconventional benefits that allow for them to only hire the best candidates to fill each position. Google’s plan addresses staffing needs, compensation plan for all employees, as well as the many benefits they offer to entice individuals to seek them out as their employer of choice. Staffing Needs Katie When it comes to staffing organizations, it is important to determine if an individual will make or break the company. How an organization can determine who these individuals are is to have a plan based on matching the individuals with jobs that best suit them. Google has a group of managers that interview potential candidates and discuss if that individual would be a good fit or not. The decision to bring on a candidate to work at Google must be a group decision and is not left for one person alone to decide (Umoh, 2018). Overall, this causes the hiring process to be slow but allows for the best fit individual to fill the position. Google wants to be able to hire people that are interested in growing with the company and making sure that they are developing as they continue to work (McFarland, 2019). Having trained and well-developed employees allows for the development of a great company that continues to grow. Google is a fast-paced growing company, so it is important to have the correct individuals who are interested in expanding knowledge and helping expand the internet. This is why Google focuses on

collaboration amongst the employees (McFarland, 2019). Google also makes sure to focus on the employee development so that no employee feels that they are in an organization that does not value or contribute to the loyalty of their employees. Google is all about teamwork and communication amongst every employee. Compensation Plan-Jason
