What historical factors contributed to Britain’s changing attitude towards its American colonies? The historical factors that led to the changing of Britain’s attitude included the debt they were in as well refusal of cooperation from the colonist and the government. Britain was in debt after the war and choose to pay it back by taxing the colonists. This was just another problem the colonists had with the government. The taxation was a final straw for the colonists and the British didn’t take into account how they would feel. What roles did George III and the French and Indian War play in the coming American Revolution? George III is one of the reasons the war lasted to long. He sent Hessian Mercenaries to assist the British and he kept sending them because he did not want to lose. As far as the French and Indian war is concerned, its war expenses are the reason the British had to tax the colonist. It also brought further arguments over frontier policies which only furthers the colonists and government ideologies. Is there a religious element to the American Revolution? Why/why not? The religious element to the American Revolution was that people thought the colonists winning was an act of god. They thought they were becoming free in the world was because god wanted them to be. This ideology spread like wildfire and would make the war have a lasting religious impact. America got its independence and credited it to God. Was the American Revolution a success? Yes, they won their independence. Without the American revolution we would not be here today. The society that we have developed and live in is a direct effect of America becoming independent and being able to create its own way of life. They won liberties and freedoms that would lead to the United States to what we know now....
