Points

It was honestly very sad to listen to each patient and what they had experienced, even though this is a simulation it is very much based on real life, and millions of people live through this type of situations. It is a strength that they count with the shelter and nursing staff that are trained with the resources and tools to help these patients, however it’s hard when they want to go back to the same situation. I don’t think I would of handled I any differently, the only thing we can do is provide them with facts about violence and a safety plan, we cannot tell them what to do or not do. It completely relates with community nursing, many 2. Discuss how what you learned people not only in low-income neighborhoods live and experienced in this activity through domestic violence. emotions involved and peer pressure. This law is worrisome specially when we look at our class literature which states that rates of homicide are increasing in adolescents (Holman et al., 2019) Also, we know that homicides are often caused from a known person during an argument. If teens this early in life can now legally purchase firearms and now carry with no license potentially increase homicidal and suicidal rates in the state. I would at the very least increase the minimum age to at least 21-25. Someone under 25 is not considered responsible enough to rent a car, so why would they be trusted with a weapon that can easily be used as a tool to look “cool” or misused in a moment of lack of self-control.
