CASE ANALYSIS AWARENESS THE CHILDREN OF SITIO MABOLON Guide Questions: 1. What are the different problems have you identified upon reading the conditions of the children in Sitio Mabolon? -The first thing I noticed in the Sitio Mabolon neighborhood was a lack of medical treatment. The neighborhood is somewhat far from the health-care facilities. The village's residents have relatively limited access to government services. Through outreach programs, certain non-governmental organizations would open their arms to support these villages. The people in the village do not have enough money to send their children to the health center for treatment. The residents have no choice except to leave the children alone and refer them to the local albularyo for assistance. The children in the village suffer from marasmus and kwashiorkor, both of which are forms of malnutrition. Some of the children are also suffering with bronchial pneumonia, gastrointestinal issues, and diarrhea. I also discovered that some children do not eat when they are unwell, which means they are not getting the nutrients their bodies require to battle the virus or disorders and the people of the community do not have access to nutritious food. They just collect food from their backyard, which is not nutritious at all, or they do not acquire the proper quantity of nutrients that the body need in daily life. 2. What are the conditions of the community and its people as reflected in the situations of Nene and Tito? -The community's conditions, as portrayed by Nene and Tito, include the fact that members of the village rely on the local albularyo if they are unwell. Tito's situation is that his guardians do not have the money to bring him to the health clinic, despite the fact that he is infected with HIV and malnourished. The guardians of Tito could only afford Tito's cough medicine. Poverty is at the basis of the problem; residents could not pay the health facility charge. 3. If you are a health worker in the center, what steps can you propose in response to the concerns you have enumerated? -If I were a health worker at the center, the only thing I could do is raise their concerns with the local government, in the hopes that the government will give the medical supplies that the community requires. Because of this, I believe the government will be

able to supply inexpensive medical products, as this population likewise lacks financial ability.

4. What project regarding awareness can you propose if Sitio Mabolon is your assigned community? -I recommend that local officials hold a health conference to teach locals about the present state of the children and the potential impacts of illnesses on the community and the children. I would also recommend that government agencies perform free check-up sessions in the village, as well as follow-up check-ups, to monitor the health of not just the youngsters, but also the elderly and the rest of the village’s population. I would also advise that the local government educate the locals certain planting skills so that they may grow their own food, such as fruits and vegetables, which can give the body with the required nutrients....
