Some examples are etanercept, infliximab, & adalimumab. They work by inactivating the tumor necrosis factor resulting in reduced inflammation and immunosuppression. 6. What past medical history would you ask to the client before administering biologic DMARD? If the patient has any history for heart failure. 7. What is the contraindications of calcitonin? Contraindications include clients who are allergic to salmon or other fish protein. 8. What decreases absorption of calcium supplements? Glucocorticoids decrease absorption of a calcium supplement and should not be given at the same time....
