Description

REPORTER (KC) : Good morning, listeners! And one of our top stories this morning includes a student being bullied by her classmates because of her race and status in life, but thankfully here goes our hero of the day, the teacher who gave her students a very important lesson in life. Now let us hear an audio recording of what happened last Friday. (START SCENE) STUDENT BULLY 1: How come her parents can afford to send her to a school this expensive? STUDENT BULLY 2: Yeah like how? I heard both of her parents work as a janitor in a nearby restaurant STUDENT BULLY 3: Oh that’s disgusting, Hey Anna! Do u live in a slum? Look at your skin color it looks like you have been under the sun for 24/7. VICTIM: My skin color has been like this since I was young and I believe there’s nothing wrong with it. We are all equal, regardless of our skin color; it doesn’t mean that you are more capable of having a good education just because you have a better status in life or beauty than the others, none of them can over pass one’s identity GOOD CLASSMATE: I agree with Anna, the three of you are not in the position to judge nor discriminate Anna just because of her status in life. TEACHER: Girls what’s happening here? I’ve been listening to your conversation all throughout and I’m so disappointed on how you guys treat Anna. Have you forgotten? according to the 13th rule of The Kartilya of Katipunan ni Emilio Jacinto “Man is not worth more because he is a king, because his nose is aquiline, and his color white, not because he is a *priest, a servant of God, nor because of the high prerogative that he enjoys upon earth, but he is worth most who is a man of proven and real value, who does good, keeps his words, is worthy and honest; he who does not oppress nor consent to being oppressed, he who loves and cherishes his fatherland, though he be born in the wilderness and know no tongue but his own. “ This principle is about having the right character and good values. A Man’s life is not measured by what is his status in life nor with the things that he possess. Instead, it is in his character and his love for the native land. And I’m impressed on how Mica defended Anna and it is how we should be all the time, we should defend the oppressed and fight the oppressor. VICTIM: Thank you teacher and Mica for defending me I’ve always been bullied ever since and it felt so good being defended and knowing that there are still people who are willing to stand up for those who are discriminated and bullied and I hope there are still more of you out there.

Reporter (KC) : We are all born to be equal no matter what race, status, and educational

background we have. Our society may have divided us into groups but we must all understand that no one is a superior of anyone. We don’t have the same strengths but we can help one another. We must choose to fight for what is right – Fight with the weak people who needs your help and comfort and Fight those people who keep on putting others down by oppressing them. And that’s all for today’s hero, I’m Krystelle Doromal back to you ( name )...
