Course Objectives: 1. To become familiar with the fundamental concepts toxicology. 2. To become aware of important toxic hazards in the local environment. 3. To develop knowledge of the impact of toxins in the world.

Exams: Exams: Two midterms on the following dates: 2/16/21 and 3/16/21 Final Exam: 5/14/21 Exams will be made available on these dates starting 10 am on the exam date to accommodate for different time zones for a total period of 24 hours. Once you open the exam link, you will have 1 hour to complete the exam. Each exam will cover material from the previous 4-6 weeks of the course from each instructor (not accumulative), including guest lectures (one question per guest lecture). The exams are usually limited to 30-33 questions Exams will be open notes/open book exams. Please do not confer with other people inside or outside the classroom about the exam. You will be expected to follow the Student Code of Conduct-- https://sa.berkeley.edu/code-of-conduct. This year, all exams will be multiple choice and the exams will be offered on BCourses. Grading: Grading is based on points earned from two midterms (100 pts. Each=200 points), a final (100 pts.) for a total of 300 points. Grading scale based on percentage of total points: A: 80-100 %; B: 60-80%; C: 40-60%; D: 20-40 %; F: 0-20 %. Minuses and pluses for grades will be based on the 5 %’s surrounding each range, e.g. 95-100% is an A+, 85-95% is an A, 80-85% is an A-.
