Narrative Report in NSTP 2 Vegetable Garden Day 5

For the fifth day of vegetable gardening, November 30, 2021, doing casual things like cleaning the area, watering the plants, and cultivating the soil is really important in our garden. By consistently doing this, it will lead to a greater harvest of vegetables and freshly produced food for own use. As with most activities, we can save money with a little planning and preparation in the garden. Planning our yard gives us an advantage over nature and saves a lot of money. For example, in tool care and maintenance. We don’t have to buy expensive gardening tools to be a good gardener, but we should treat our gardening tools well for them to continue to work for years. To keep our gardening tools in good condition, clean them, dry and hang them, and lubricate whatever we need to oil from time to time. Clean and well-stored tools will continue to work each season. As you can see, I use some sticks for cultivating the soil which can help the water to penetrate easily to the roots. Other than that, I haven’t invested money in tools like shovels. Gardening is also a great opportunity to try new healthy foods that will help you and your family have a more adventurous diet. Growing a wide variety of products is both healthy and fun. Gardening requires some patience, which is rewarded by reaching for our own fresh produce dish.

Gardening has a lot of benefits to us. For instance, exposure to Vitamin D, mood-boosting benefits, enjoyable exercise, helps combat loneliness, helps the environment, and a lot more benefits. Planning can really make our garden more well-ordered and systematic. Furthermore, it will lead to good results and more harvests vegetables. For us students, it is a good step to use our leisure time for something that can make us productive each day. Day 6

For the sixth day of vegetable gardening, December 2, 2021, checking and cleaning the area, watering the plants, and cultivating the soil is a must thing to do in our gardens. As for me, I always do this every day to make the plants grow healthy. This day, I also checked our other garden which chilis and peppers grow. We have a lot of chilis in which we use to make pickled chilis with garlic or simply as “artem or inartem.” In this garden, I watered the plants and also clean the area to help the plants to grow healthy. To care for the chilis, keep the soil moist, but do not soak it. Chili peppers love water as much as they love the sun but don’t flood the plants or run the risk of rot. Water every other day or three days....
