OL 215 Module 5 Discussion: Good Managers Do Not Always Make Good Decisions Hello Everyone. Management & Leadership are very important in any company. In order for a business to succeed both, the management and Leaders must be able to perform well together. Managements role is associated with efficiency, they motivate the people. And the allocators resources in order to maximize productivity. Leaders inspires people to achieve set goals. Between managers and leaders. I would say that leaders are more likely to be the primary decision - makers. Leaders often have to make challenging decisions. Such as in which direction to push their company toward, whether to hire or fire employees, and the decisions as well. Management and Leadership does go hand in hand. Both are in agreement and are bound by a common corporate code. The relationship between the two serve both, employees and organizations. It is feasible that Management and Leaders are separate from each other in an organization? Yes, it is feasible. The difference between the two is that leaders have people that follow them, while managers have people work for them (2003)
