MSL 201: Leadership and Decision Making Lesson 18: Operations Orders Homework 1. Situation. a. Enemy Forces. No enemy forces are present. b. Friendly Forces. UL-Lafayette’s intramural director will assign each referee to a certain field each of the 2 days we are there for the tournament. c. Attachments and Detachments. No attachments and detachments. 2. Mission. a. Who: ULM Intramurals. b. What: driving down to Lafayette, Louisiana to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for the LCIRSA state flag football and volleyball tournament. c. Where: Lafayette, Louisiana d. When: 121300NOV2015 e. Why: To represent ULM and ULM intramurals, while also showing how well the intramural referees are at refereeing volleyball and football. 3. Execution. a. Commander’s intent. The ULM intramural department must represent the University of Louisiana at Monroe well and also show that we know how to referee and that we are to be respected by other schools. But we also must show respect to the other schools present at the tournament. b. Concept of the Operation. The referees who company the department on this trip are to do the best job of officiating fairly but also stand up for the calls they make. c. Maneuver. The referees are to take a position on the field they are assigned and whether that job be as Head Judge, Line Judge, Back Judge or scorekeeper. If the referee is head judge then you are to be position five yards from the quarterback. If line judge, line up parallel with the football wherever it is position. If back judge, then position yourself 5 yards behind the deepest defender on the same side of the field as the head judge. d. Fires. No fire are needed in this situation. 4. Sustainment. The intramural department will bring 2 referees along with the director of 5. Command and Signal. a. Command. The director of intramurals will be walking around the university fields supervising to make sure every game is run smoothly and if the referees on the field have any questions he/she can answer them. The assistant director of intramurals will be inside help coordinating volleyball doing the same thing as the director but in the sense of volleyball. b. Signal. If the referees have any questions they are to call the director of intramurals from their home school or any other directors from other schools who are nearby their field of officiating.
