Your Student Oscarplus Account Co-op students need to keep “my account” up to date with current information. Click Dashboard > My Account > You then update your “My Account” View & update your account. We must have a current cell phone. If an employer requests an interview we will email and call you.

Student Success Centre Services, Workshops & Events All McMaster University students have access to events, workshops and services on the Student Success Centre Oscarplus tab. We encourage you to take advantage of these services and events. All permanent/new grad or part time (non co-op) job postings will be here for the entire University.

Engineering Co-op & Career Services ECCS provides a robust offering of events and workshops. As a co-op student you pay fees. Fees support many things this includes engineering events and workshops. It is your choice whether you choose to attend events and workshops. You are paying for this service, we challenge to take advantage of it.

Events arecoded by type. Workshops, career fairs, employer sessions and career events, click any event to register

How to book an Engineering Appointment? Appointments > Engineering > Engineering Career Appointments

Engineering Career/Co-op Appointments Choose Appointment Type > Select time If Appointment type offers your Co-op Coordinator’s name, choose them Please cancel appointments at least 12 hours in advance if you cannot make it

1EE0 Completion – Access Levels Once 1EE0 is successfully completed you will see job postings added to your Internships & Co-op tab. You will then be approved to go on co-op for Summer 2019 once you secure an approved role that meets the co-op requirements.

This is your new tab you will see after course grades are submitted.

Internships & Co-op Tab After your “Internships & Co-op” tab is added you can find out: • Who your Co-op Coordinator is? • Where to apply to jobs? • Where you advise the co-op office if you plan to go on co-op for a term

Your Name

This is the name of your Co-op Coordinator. Book appointments with this person. For ENG 1 and IBIO Med. The name will change in second year once you choose your program stream. For Computer Science, the name will always be Adam Pepler.

Advising your Co-op Coordinator of your “Intention” In December 2018 or January 2019, you MUST advise your Co-op Coordinator if you plan to go on co-op for Summer 2019 Click Internships & Co-ops > Co-op Home Your screen will look similar to this. It shows you the next term you are approved to go on co-op

Four months before the start of the work term. You will select from the choices below to let your Co-op Coordinator know your plans. Eg. We need to know by January 8, 2019 if you want to go on co-op in May, 2019 Each co-op term we need to know what you are planning to do: 1. Are you planning to take classes and not go on co-op that term? 2. Are you planning to work this term and already have a job offer? 3. Are you returning to a previous employer? 4. Are you going home or traveling and not going on co-op? 5. Or do you plan to apply to job postings

Each term you choose what you plan to do. Each choice will give you instructions on what to do once you select that choice....
