I.

Biographical information about the speaker. A. The person that I’m going to introduce today is a man born in Zwittau, Moravia,

province of Austria-Hungary. 1. His father, Hans, is a factory owner that produces farm equipment that later he works for him, but working with his father cause too many problems, so he decides to leave. 2. Leaving his father's company, he determines to make a name for himself. B. With the help of his friend Itzhak Stern, a Jewish accountant, he opens a bankrupt kitchenware factory and hires many Jewish employees. C. The war escalated, and the German officials took his Jewish employees to labor camps. He paid for each one of them (1,300), and the officials were not authorized to harm them nor take them nowhere without his permission. D. He saves the lives of many Jewish people. II.

The topic of the speaker. A. He stood up for what is inhumane. The German officials treat the Jews like they are

dogs like they are not human beings. 1. One of the survivors said, “It was only because I was on the list that I stayed alive. That was a man who made a difference.” He goes against what everyone was told to believe that is right. III.

The importance of the speaker’s topic for the audience.

A. Standing up for what is right is important because it shows strength, also that you care for what you are fighting for. Like Toni Payne said, " Feel free to stand for what you believe in. Never let what others might say turn you into a coward and stand for nothing. People's belief will differ do not betray yours out of fear of opinion. Be polite while making your stance crystal clear.” 1. During the Holocaust, human beings committing the worse hate crimes imaginable. Yet, there are other human beings who stood up to the evil, and their noble deeds shined through the darkness. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce today's speaker Oskar Schindler.
