Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you to enquire about the availability of the Human Resources Intern role in Uxbridge that I saw advertised on your website. I am currently taking the Business Management and Human Resource Management course at Brunel University and I am passionate about pursuing a career in HR. I am interested in working for GSK because of the collegial and meritocratic organisational structure, and the positive impact the company has on society, by improving the quality of human life. Furthermore, I would like to work for GSK because of my interest in the product offerings and the direction of the organisation to pioneer research in cancer medicines and vaccines. Similarly, working for GSK would be intellectually stimulating and would require me to work with leading experts on technically challenging projects. Furthermore, I am confident that my prior experience of recruitment and the healthcare system can help to promote the trustworthy, and reputable image of GSK by achieving higher standards. I am strongly suitable for the HR Intern role because of the skills I have gained working for the UK’s number one recruitment agency, and the NHS. My work experience for Reed required me to meet demanding individual and branch targets, which helped to develop my interpersonal and communicative skills to be able to present suitable candidates to senior management and consultants. Likewise, I was required to be the first point of contact for payroll, candidate, and client queries which required me to be flexible and to work autonomously. Furthermore, my work experience for the NHS has furthered my interest to improve employee welfare and has developed my ability to provide exceptional care and other transferrable skills suitable for the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to this, I have undertaken a combination of technically challenging modules at Brunel University pertaining to HR and Organisational Behaviour and Analysis that has developed my intellectual framework and analytical tools. Thus, I believe I am ready to tackle HR related issues, and to facilitate organisational recruitment processes in accordance with GDPR legislation. With my academic background, relevant professional experience, and personal qualities, I am confident in exceeding expectations at GSK.
