What complications might Eva Madison face if her symptoms are not recognized and actions are not initiated in a timely manner?

Severe dehydration, at the time of the assessment she was not seriously dehydrated however, she began to show signs such as dry and cracked lips and her HR started to rise PCC

What actions should be implemented to decrease anxiety in Eva Madison and her mother?

The nurse explained to both, Eva and her mother that she had Gastroenteritis and that with the doctor's order to start hydrating her, she would feel better, always told Eva what she was going to do before doing it, also provide Eva with a stuffed animal, allow the mother to be with the child and participate in some way in the procedures that can be done PCC

It is important to include both Eva and her mother into Eva’s care. They should be aware of everything that is going on, what procedure the nurse is going to do and the treatment to develop
