Pelvic Girdle, Lower Extremity Bones, and Joints Lab Instructions Complete the lab assignment as instructed below. Students need to access Hole’s Essentials of Human Anatomy & Physiology: Laboratory Manual, which is an electronic workbook found in LoudCloud. Some labs contain additional activities that are not found in the Laboratory Manual. Students are expected to demonstrate learning in two ways: Informally during the lab activity through questions from their instructor and in lab activities. Formally, in a weekly quiz. Lab Objectives The student will: Locate and identify the bones and bony landmarks of the pelvic girdle and lower limb. Describe the elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle joints and label the major ligaments that provide support to the joints. Identify movements that occur at the major synovial joints. Materials Laptop (optional) Access to the Electronic Lab Manual: Labs 17 and 18 or printed version (refer to the syllabus for additional information) Access to the electronic textbook Hole’s Human Anatomy and Physiology Stickers for identifying bones Disarticulated lower extremity bones Joint models Skeleton Lab Instructions Your instructor will briefly explain the use of terminology to begin the lab and provide a general overview of the lab assignments. You will demonstrate your learning of this content prior to conclusion of the lab through participation in lab activities and informal assessments from your instructor.
