Reading Read the text and answer the questions. Choose a, b or c.

An amazing memory For as long as he can remember, Brad Williams has been able to remember the most useless information and details about his life. His family and friends always find it awesome, but experts and doctors are now studying him to try and find out more about how memory works. Williams seems to like having his memory tested and when you tell him a random date, he can remember exactly what happened that day. For example, if you say “August 18th, 1965” he will tell you that it was a Wednesday, he was eight years old and he was on a trip with his parents. They stayed at a motel that night, but it was more like a cabin. Williams is in his fifties now, and these events happened over forty years ago. He can also remember news events from days in the past. Just tell him the date, and he will correctly tell you what was in the news that day. “I’ve always been this way,” he says, “So, while growing up, I never thought I was any different from anyone else.” Experts have no idea how he does it. However, after several tests it became clear that it’s easy for Williams to remember things that he’s interested in. He is excellent at remembering news events and TV shows, but not so good at sports, for example. In 1990 he appeared on a TV quiz show and answered most of the questions correctly. But he didn’t do well in the categories “snakes” and “words beginning with kh” and didn’t end up winning anything.

1. What is true about Brad Williams? a. His memory is sometimes annoying for his friends and family. b. He doesn’t mind people testing his memory. c. Williams isn’t as good at remembering as he was forty years ago. 2. What does Williams remember when you tell him a date? a. Events from his life. b. Information about world events. c. Both of the above. 3. What happened when Williams appeared on the TV show? a. He couldn’t answer questions that were about topics that didn’t interest him. b. He didn’t choose categories that he wasn’t interested in. c. He didn’t answer all the questions because he wasn’t interested in winning.

Hi there, How have you been? My cousin from Melbourne is staying with us for a few days and I want to take her around. I was wondering about the ice-skating rink you went to last weekend.
